A week later, everyone in the town is still very scared of the cannibals who could possibly attack the town soon. Olivia was watching people getting trained all week and she thought that she could do better if she was able to train along with those adults. So, she sneaked out of the house and went to the training place. She asked the leader, “Can I please join this team? I am certain that I can prevent this town from danger.” However, the leader told her to go back to her house, treating her as if she was a baby. Olivia was so upset that she left the place and ran towards her house crying out loud. She went into her room, smashing the door very hard. “What is wrong with you, Olivia?” Her mom said, but she ignored it and continued to cry until she had this thought in her mind. ‘I think I can fight against the cannibals without the trained armies. I do not need any help from anyone. I can do this alone. I can save the town and people by myself.’ She packed her bag all night and went to bed.
It was 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Her parents were out working. She was alone at her house. She left the house quietly and ran towards the forest where cannibals were seen before. She was scared but excited at the same time because her head was full of thoughts that she could save the town. At the same time, her friend Claire saw Olivia running towards the woods with a fully packed bag on her back. She feels like she has to stop her from whatever Olivia is trying to do. Even though Claire had no idea about Olivia’s plan, she still ran after her. Claire finally caught her. “Olivia! What are you doing here? Whatever you are trying to do, please stop and let’s go back to the town. It’s dangerous here.” Olivia told her what her plan is and tried to persuade her that she can make this work. However, after a long talk with Claire, she decided to give up and let the adults deal with the problem. In the meantime, people in the town decided that they would attack the cannibals first, so that the cannibals are not coming into the town where children and elders are in. Finally the day has come. The trained army got ready and left the town. People in the town were waiting and praying for them to come back without bad injuries or death. The time was passing by very slowly but it was getting darker. And suddenly. Olivia shouted out, “I see the light from the woods! I think they are coming back!” And yes, it was the town people. They were looking exhausted, but their faces were filled with smiles. No one was injured. And they won the fight. They got the promise from the cannibals that they would never attack this town ever again.
